Project management is a dynamic field with changing needs and expectations. The Project Management Institute (PMI), a leading non-profit organization based in the United States, sets the industry standards in the area of project management with “A guide to the Project Management Body Of Knowledge – PMBOK® GUIDE”. PMBOK® v6 has generated interest among both project management practitioners and aspirants for PMI certifications including the ‘Project Management Professional’ (PMP®) certification.

PMI reviews and updates the PMBOK® GUIDE every 4 to 5 years. PMI released PMBOK® 7th Edition in August 2021.  When there’s a new release to the guide, PMI also updates the PMP® exam taking into consideration all the changes made.

This course focuses on the differences between version 6 and version 7 of the PMBOK® guide. It assists PMP® certificate aspirants who want to learn about the most recent changes to the standard as well as the guide. It also helps those who are already PMP® Certified become familiar with the principle-based approach to managing and delivering projects. Discussions of the principles of project management, the systems for value delivery, and the importance of tailoring will assist project professionals in adapting practices that fit the context of their project and business environments.
