The project management term imposed date refers primarily to the calendar based delineation that is used for the purposes of establishing a fixed and set time or date on which the project management team has estimated and or established that the particular work schedule activity and or work schedule event, or in some cases a work schedule milestone, are scheduled to take place or kick off in the case of an extended event. The imposed date traditionally refers to a sort of earliest and or latest date that a particular work schedule activity can kickoff (in these cases, the term can be referred to in terms such as the activity or event should “start no later than”) or in other cases, the time or date at which the work schedule activity must be concluded or completed by (in such cases, the phrasing here may be something like the activity or event can “finish no later than”). Imposed dates can in some cases be modified; however, it is less likely that these will be modified than other dates as they are usually based on pre-existent factors.
