Project management is a dynamic field with changing needs and expectations. The Project Management Institute (PMI), a leading non-profit organization based in the United States, sets the industry standards in the area of project management with “A guide to the Project Management Body Of Knowledge – PMBOK GUIDE”. PMBOK V6 has generated interest among both project management practitioners and aspirants for PMI certifications including the ‘Project Management Professional’ (PMP) certification.

PMI reviews and updates the PMBOK GUIDE every 4 to 5 years. PMI released PMBOK 6th Edition on September 6, 2017.  When there’s a new release to the guide, PMI also updates the PMP exam taking into consideration all the changes made. The last updates to the PMP exam were made on March 26, 2018 and the changes made were in line with the latest release of the PMBOK Guide 6th Edition.

This course focuses on the differences between version 5 and version 6 of the PMBOK guide. It assists PMP certificate aspirants who have joined a course or a PMP bootcamp that was based on the 5th edition but did not manage to take the exam before the updates were made. It is also for those who have taken the exam based on the 5th edition but did not manage to pass and are planning to re-sit for the exam.

The instructor will go into all the details of the changes and will summarize key concepts necessary to pass the PMP exam based on the 6th edition.
