PMI-ACP Certificate

The PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® certification recognizes your expertise in agile principles and techniques, demonstrating your ability to apply agile methodologies effectively in projects. This certification enhances your professional credibility and supports organizations that rely on agile project management practices.

Who Should Pursue the PMI-ACP®?

This certification is ideal for experienced project managers and team members who utilize agile practices in project delivery and seek to formalize their knowledge of agile frameworks.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the PMI-ACP®, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate degree, or global equivalent).
• General Project Experience: 24 months (2 years) of project management experience within the last 5 years.
• Agile Project Experience: 12 months (1 year) of agile project experience within the last 5 years.
• Agile Training: 28 contact hours of training in agile practices, frameworks, and methodologies.

Note: If you hold an active PMP® certification, the general project experience requirement is waived.

Steps to Become PMI-ACP® Certified

1. Verify Eligibility: Ensure you meet the education, experience, and training requirements.
2. Create a PMI Account: Register at PMI.org.
3. Submit Application: Complete and submit your PMI-ACP® application online.
4. Application Review: PMI reviews applications within 10 calendar days.
5. Pay Certification Fees:
   • PMI Members: $435
   • Non-PMI Members: $495
6. Audit Process (if selected): Some applications are randomly selected for audit; if selected, provide the necessary documentation.
7. Schedule Your Exam: Once approved, schedule your exam through Pearson VUE.

PMI-ACP® Exam Details

• Exam Format: 120 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 3 hours.
• Scoring: 100 questions are scored; 20 are unscored pretest questions.
• Domains Covered:

  2. Leadership
  3. Product
  4. Delivery
• Exam Availability: You have one year from application approval to take the exam.
• Retakes: If you fail, you may retake the exam twice within the one-year eligibility period.
• Test Center Requirements: Provide two forms of identification and adhere to test center policies.
