Network Path

The project management term network path refers to any consecutive or continuous series of work or project schedule activities that may form some sort of a connection with a number of logical relationships as designated in the project schedule network diagram. The network path can be a formally designated path, designated by the project team leader and the project management team, or in some cases the network path could refer more general and less formalized, and in most cases, unwritten, path that is merely drawn from the logical path or sequence of events which makes the most sense. It is important to designate either formally or at the very least informally what the network paths are expected to be for a given project as it helps in the efforts to delegate tasks to a series of project team members, as like tasks should be organized and coordinated by the same project team members whenever it is possible to do so.
