During the course of an entire project, the project management team and the specific project management team leaders will conduct a series of items for the purposes of actually accomplishing the goal of completion of the project. These items can be referred to as the operations element of the project. Operations refers to the particular function within the organization that serves to perform the execution in an ongoing fashion the particular and unique activities that go on to produce the identical and similar products and services through a series of repetition. There are a number of specific project oriented examples of operations that can be cited. Some examples of operations include those such as production operations, accounting operations, staffing operations, manufacturing operations, etc. In many cases, a project management team may designate a specific person who can serve as operations manager, and in large scenarios, operations managers may be designated in multiple segments of the project such as those mentioned above.
